Events & Coverage Area

•   Event Types: ( Car Shows, Auto Shows, Cruise Nights, Cruise-In(s), Cruise,   Meets, Cars and (Coffee, Cones, Cookies, etc.), Swap Meets, Drag Racing   Schedules, and some nearby Regional and National Events.

•  Coverage Area: Our coverage area begins within the Elmira, NY, and Athens,   PA area, and extends as follows.

Cruise Nights, Cruise-In(s), Cruise ( within 150 miles of our starting area )

Cars & Coffee                                 ( within 100 miles of our starting area )

Regional, National, Swap Meets     ( Pennsylvania and New York )

The above coverage is for normal listings on our calendar. Event flyers may or may not be available on the listing if one was not available for the event. Usually in this case there is either an event link or information provided in the event description for the event.

Events outside this coverage area and not listed on our calendar, if an event flyer was available or provided that will be available from our "Event Flyers" option, or from the other flyer options (cruise nights, cars & coffee, Swap Meets or Drag Racing).

Event Type Clarifications

•  Cruise-In(s):  This is a non-repeatable event. Usually, these events are where     you show up at a scheduled time and hang-out with others to enjoy all the   other people and vehicles that came to participate. Alot of these events do not   have event flyers, so when these events are listed on the calendar they are   listed on the given date and time of the event, and if there is a flyer that flyer   will appear in the "Event Flyer(s)" options. These events are usually planned   well in advance of the scheduled date and time. This is not an award type of    event.

•  Meets:  Similar to Cruise-In(s), these are usually more associated with what is   called "Pop-Up" Events. As suggested, these are not normally planned but   rather just a gathering to hang-out.  If there is an event flyer that will be listed   and available in the "Event Flyer(s)" options.  This is not an award type of    event.

•  Cruise:  This usually indicates some sort of a touring event where you travel as   a group with starting and ending points normally with stops along the way with   some kind of activity planned or stops for food. Usually there is not an event   flyer but rather an event link. If there is an event flyer that will be available   under the "Event Flyer(s)" option.

•  Cruise Nights:  These are repeatable Cruise-In type events and usually   scheduled to repeat weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually.  These   events are usually very well planned and executed, and most offer additional   activities or offerings for the participants to enjoy. These events usually have an   event flyer associated with the event. When a flyer is available that will be   available under the "Cruise Nights" option.  This is not an award type of an   event.

 

The "Cruise Nights" option contains the event flyers (when flyer was provided) for both PA and NY events listed on our calendar, as well as any cruise night flyers outside our coverage area within PA and NY that had an event flyer.​​​​

 

•  Cars & (Coffee, Cones, Cookies, etc.):  Self descriptive events usually hosted   at a business that provides a venue for car people to hang-out and show their   vehicles. Normally a planned event lasting only a couple of hours. These   events usually have some kind of defined frequency for the event with or   without event flyers.  If there is an event flyer for the event it will be available   under the "Cars & Coffee" option.  This is not an award type of event.

•  Car Show:  Self descriptive event.  This is an organized and planned event   where there is some kind of award(s) associated with the event. The giving of   awards identifies this event to be a car show otherwise the event would fall   under the cruise-in type of event.  If there is an event flyer for the event it will   be available under the "Event Flyer(s)" option.

•  Swap Meets & Drag Racing:  If the event is within our coverage area it is   usually listed on our calendar as well as the event flyer if it was available.   These events outside our coverage area that has a flyer for the event will be   available under either the "Swap Meets" or "Drag Racing" option.  For Drag   Racing you may find the entire racing schedule for a given track covering all   their racing events.
